Realizing Women and Youth Empowerment Agenda

I had the pleasure of hosting my sister CAS Ministry of Public Service and Gender Hon. Rachel Shebesh in Kitui today. Over 68 million shillings was disbursed to 158 women and youth groups across the county.

I took the CAS on a tour of our programs geared towards employment of youth and creating wealth for the County. These are trail blazing empowernent projects where we have trained our youth in valuable skills put them into gainful employment in the Kitui manufacturing agenda. — Governor of Kitui Charity Ngilu

The CAS witnessed first hand the transformational realities brought about by KICOTEC, Kitui Pharma Industry, the Kitui County Ballast Crusher and the Kitui Youth Skills and Enterprise Center where we are manufacturing construction products.

Today was a case of key factors of production (labor/skills, technology and capital) converging to demonstrate what focused leadership can achieve for our people.
