Launch of Hola Land Registry

H.E the Governor Maj Rtd Dr. Dhadho Godhana Gaddae today hosted the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, E.G.H Farida Karoney in Hola to officially Launch the new Hola Land Registry.

A new historic chapter has been registered today as this great County has now been officially adjoined to the rest of Kenya as far as land security and property rights are concerned.

The land in Tana River County had never been registered, and therefore the establishment of Land Registry will significantly reduce the waiting time to process crucial documents like title deeds.

The County in partnership with key stakeholders especially the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and through the existence of our very own Geographical Information system (GIS) has been able to address the land challenges. The Governor urged that women and the youth in Tana River have an equal chance to acquire land and land-based resources and make decisions about their use in ways that benefit them and their families.
