The Kenol Law Courts was on Friday 29, 2021, officially handed over to the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Anne Amadi by the area MP Hon Mary Waithera Wamaua. The Court was donated by the County Commissioner’s office and refurbished by Maragua Constituency Development Fund.
“We are grateful to the leadership of the County and the Maragua Constituency Development Fund for delivering this court building barely four months after the court was gazetted by the retired Chief Justice David Maraga,” said the CRJ.
Hon Wamaua said that the court will reduce the distance travelled to seek justice since more than half of the cases registered in Kigumo Law Courts emanate from Murang’a South Sub-county.
“CDF has set aside a further KSH14 million to build an ultra-modern court building on a one acre piece of land donated by the county government. We expect to break ground in June this year,” said the MP
The Kenol Court brings the number of Magistrate Courts to 128 across the country and is the fifth in Murang’a County.
