End of long wait: A beneficiary of the 38,000 title deeds issued by H.E President Kenyatta to residents of Embakasi Ranching, Tassia, Korogocho and Mbagathi River Bank estates in Nairobi on Friday peruses her document. The National Government values land as a key resource in anchoring personal and collective development. A title deed confers a right to landowners to use land in the most productive manner to advance economic and social development.

The Ministry of Lands has issued 145,000 title deeds to Nairobi County residents in the last eight years. Nationally, the Jubilee administration has issued five million titles compared to six million documents issued in the first 50 years of Kenya’s independence.
