Unveiling State-of-the-Art New-Born Unit at Kilifi County Referral Hospital
From Amason Kingi, Governor of Kilifi from Facebook – www.facebook.com/governoramason.kingi/
This morning, I officially opened the Kilifi County New-Born unit, a project we undertook in partnership with Safaricom Foundation. This 60-bed capacity facility, built at a cost of Sh53m, of which Safaricom Foundation gave Sh15m, will go a long way in ensuring expectant mothers and newborn babies receive quality healthcare, which is part of our ongoing campaign to revamp maternal healthcare, with a view to eradicating infant and maternal mortality.
With state-of-the-art facilities and qualified personnel, the facility will provide quality services, thereby ending all preventable newborn and infant deaths. We are thankful to the Safaricom Foundation for joining hands with us in this noble cause. As a County Government, we will continue to deepen our collaboration with all development partners as we look to boost healthcare infrastructure and offer quality and affordable services to our people.
A healthy County is a Productive County.
