Senior Samburu County Officials Granted Bail in Corruption Case

Following yesterday’s arrest of Senior County Officials from Samburu County over allegations of embezzlement of County funds, the three accused took plea and were released on cash bail of Kshs. 500,000 each. Mention scheduled for 30th June 2020.

The Chief Officer Agriculture Reuben Maruben, Chief Officer Finance Daniel Lenolkirina, and Head of Procurement Geoffrey Marun, were arrested by EACC sleuths over violation of procurement laws in the award of tender to CMC Motors for tractors and ploughs worth Kshs. 8.4M.
