Senate Launches Full Inquiry into Counties’ Outsourced Legal Representation

The Senate Committee on Devolution chaired by Homabay Senator Kajwang has said the Committee will launch full inquiry on all the 47 counties to establish how much they have spent to outsource legal representation. The directive was made after Nairobi Acting Governor Anne Kananu failed to appear before the committee today,to explain the alleged illegal payment of more than Ksh 700million to law firms.The committee directed the Governor to appear before it next week.
