Nairobi City to Host the First Ever Africa Deaflympics Ball Games Qualifiers 2021

Nairobi City is set to host the first ever Africa Deaflympics ball games qualifiers 2021 which is set to kick off from the 11th September – 25th September at the Kasarani sports stadia, the home of champions!
In 2019 Kenya successfully hosted the first Africa Deaflympics athletics championships. In August the city hosted around 170 Athletics federations during the World Athletics Under-20 Championships.
Nairobi City County Deputy Governor and Acting Governor, H.E Ann Kananu said that Nairobi City was not only ready but excited and looking forward to hosting nearly 1,500 Deaf athletes from all over Africa who were also eagerly waiting to compete on a fair playing field. Says Ms. Kananu “I know that we are ready and prepared to ensure that our Deaf athletes wıll enjoy the value and spirit of Deaflympics by embracing the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) motto- PER LUDOS AEQUALITAS – equality through sports.”
