MCAs Block Funding for Expansion of KICOTEC to Other Sub-Counties

Kitui youth today marched to the Kitui County Assembly chambers to express their displeasure at the MCAs sabotage of the youth development agenda in the County. In the FY 2020/21 budget, MCAs expunged funds allocated for expansion of KICOTEC to Mwingi and Mutomo areas. The expansion would have seen another 500 youth trained and employed.
The MCAs further re-allocated funds meant for Kitui Youth and Skills and Enterprise Centre, an initiative that has engaged over 300 youth in concrete products making and other construction value addition skills.
