Madaraka Day Celebrations

President Uhuru Kenyatta inspects a Guard of Honour mounted by a detachment of the 3 formations of the Kenya Defence Forces namely Kenya Army, Kenya Air Force and Kenya Navy at the 59th Madaraka Day national celebrations. Thereafter, President Kenyatta, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, dignitaries led by President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, and wananchi attending the ceremony were treated to a colourful march-past by contingents of KDF and the National Police Service. Also on show at the ceremony held at Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum was a KDF mechanized columns drive-by and a fly-past by Kenya Air Force aircraft.
