Kisumu Governor Visits Fire Ravaged Jua Kali Area

This evening, I visited the Juakali area to console the artisans whose sheds were destroyed by fire. To help them rebuild the structures, I donated 200 iron sheets, 300 pieces of timber, 30kg of nails and Ksh 100, 000 in cash. I have asked the police to urgently investigate the cause of frequent fires in the area. My government is working on plans to construct permanent sheds for the informal sector.
