It Is A New Dawn For The Kenya-Somalia Relations, President Kenyatta Says

President Uhuru Kenyatta today at State House, Mombasa, held talks with Somalia Prime Minister Mohammed Hussein Roble during which the two leaders agreed to reset the Kenya-Somalia relations. For the two countries to prosper, President Kenyatta, who led the Kenyan delegation at the bilateral talks, said there’s need to collaborate more in areas such as security, trade and investment by fully implementing the 2015 Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC).

President Kenyatta Joins Other Leaders In Paying Tribute To Zambia’s Founding President Kaunda

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday joined eight other African Heads of State and a host of other foreign dignitaries in paying glowing tribute to Zambia’s founding President Kenneth David Kaunda. In his tribute during the State Funeral at Lusaka’s main showground in Zambia, President Kenyatta described the late President Kaunda as one of the last great sons of Africa who committed his entire life to the service of the people of the whole African continent.

National and County Governments Resolve to Develop a Single Levy Agreement for Traders

The cost of doing business in the country could be headed for a drastic reduction after the National and County Governments agreed in principle to eliminate multiple levies and fees charged on goods transported across counties. A consultative forum between the Cabinet committee on National Government development and the Council of Governors resolved to restrict such charges to the county of origin essentially saving traders and businesses from numerous CESS and other fees currently levied by county governments.

Pipe Laying Commences at on-going Karimenu II Dam Water Supply

Today, the CS Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Ms.Sicily Kariuki witnessed the commencement of the pipe laying works. This is the 7th major project milestone in construction of Karimenu II Dam Water Supply in Gatundu. It will entail laying of 67km of pipeline. The CS also inspected the construction of the 70 million litres water treatment plant, dam filling and spillway works.
