New EACC CEO Abdi Mohamud Sworn into Office

Newly appointed Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฏ๐ฑ๐ถ ๐๐ต๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ ๐ผ๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐๐ฑ, ๐ ๐๐ฆ has been sworn into office. He assumes office replacing former CEO Twalib Mbarak who exited the Commission on Friday, 10th January, 2025, upon expiry of his 6 year term.
Mr. Mohamud took his oath of office earlier today before the Honourable ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ at the Supreme Court. In his remarks, the CEO committed to reinvigorate existing anti-corruption strategies and enlist the support and participation of key actors especially the youth.
โAs I assume the Office today, I am acutely aware of the huge responsibility and expectations Kenyans bestow upon the Commission. Further, I am cognizant of the adverse effects of corruption to the well-being of a nation. In that regard, I wish to offer my unequivocal commitment and fidelity to the oath of Office that I subscribed to, in combating corruption, economic crime and unethical conduct in the country,โ the new CEO said.
