Multi-Agency Security Team Launches Three Day Peace Caravan in Laikipia County

To give more impetus to the execution of its mandate in Laikipia County, the multi-agency security team launched a three day peace caravan yesterday, Thursday, 4th November 2021. The convoy will traverse Laikipia County and make stop overs at various shopping centres with the rallying call for residents to embrace inter-communal dialogue in order to promote peaceful coexistence. The key objective of this initiative is to promote peace-building in communities by embracing available dispute solving mechanism and the Nyumba Kumi model.
The Laikipia multi-agency command has deployed a multi-pronged approach in order to establish sustainable peace and coexistence between communities living in the area. These approaches include enhanced security presence, provision of mobility to patrol teams, construction of a Sub-County Police Headquarters at Ol-moran Township, new access roads, new security camps, trench-work, classrooms, dams, and medical assistance.
The multi-agency security operation in Laikipia County continues to record great success in accomplishing its objective of restoring security and lasting peace in the area.
