The County Government of Kitui has today released a team of 63 to join SEKU University for basic training on artisanal mining.
The move is inspired by the realization of the significance of value addition and the need to support artisanal and small scale miners in the county.

The County envisions to be a center of mineral identification, certification, value addition and trading in the region and beyond.
The cohort adds up to a group of 52 who graduated last week from the varsity having acquired basic skills in the same and would aid in improving service delivery to the mineral extraction activity. The team ( 63 ) was today released by County CEC Mining and his counterpart, Office of the Governor John Makau and Ben Katungi respectively.
