Gov. Waiguru Launches 1 Million Eggs Project

I am proud to announce that Kirinyaga Poultry Farmers under the Wezesha Kirinyaga Project can now earn up to Ksh 1000 a day per household! The dream of producing 1Mn Eggs a month is now a reality!
It’s stories like those I heard today at Kairegi Widows group who now fetch additional income for their families that make public service worthwhile. Over 32 groups mostly comprised of women make up phase1 of this project. Each group is set to produce an average of 7000 eggs a week.
To lower their cost of production and maximize profits, my govt provides the farmers with quality breed of layers, initial six months supply of poultry feeds produced at the county’s Kiaga Feeds Factory and other technical support through our agricultural extension officers.
